Liverpool released Jose Enrique

The management of Liverpool informed left-back Jose Enrique that his contract would not be renewed after the end of the season he will be free to seek a new team.

Newspaper "Liverpool Ekou" claims that the meeting between bosses and Enrique took place on the training ground in Meluud.

The Spaniard arrived at "Anfield" in 2011, when then manager Kenny Dalglish counts 5 million pounds to Newcastle for it. In his first two seasons Enrique was hard holder left of defense, but then gradually lost their positions.

In the last three campaigns he has just 20 appearances for the first team, and a series of injuries had its influence. Indicative of his fate was the fact that before the start of the campaign, former coach of "Liverpool" Brendan Rodgers took a tour in Australia, and left him to train individually on the Island along with the other two "exiles" Mario Balotelli and Fabio Borini.

In season 2015/2016 Enrique has just 3 matches and all are in the FA Cup as manager Jürgen Klopp prefers the left Alberto Moreno, John Flanagan, young Bradley Smith and even right-back Nathaniel Klein.

During his stay in Liverpool Jose Enrique has played 99 matches in which scored twice.
