The Italian manager of Leicester City - Claudio Ranieri will be recommended by the Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi to receive special state award for winning the championship in the Premier League. Italian President Sergio Mattarella annually awarded dozens of people for special merits to the motherland.
"Ranieri deserves a medal because send a beautiful message to our country. He said you always have to believe in it and even the most unattainable dreams can become reality. I will propose to President Mattarella to salute Ranieri by this small gesture" Matteo Renzi said to Italian radio Rtl 102.5.
Prime Minister of Italy revealed that last November in contact with Ranieri via telephone text messages. Renzi, who is a fan of Fiorentina, told Claudio Ranieri: "One day I want to win a championship with Fiorentina, as he did with Lester."
The team of Fiorentina is not became the champion of Italy from season 1968-69.
