Midfielder Paris St Germain and Italy Marco Verratti will miss the upcoming European Cup in France this summer. The midfielder will undergo surgery that will allow him to play for the "squadra Azzurri" at Euro 2016.
Earlier today there were reports that the medical staff of Italy will do everything possible to restore the player for important matches, but it seems that this will not happen.
Verratti is recovering from injury in the adductor since February and has since recorded only 45 minutes of playing time.
Italy coach Antonio Conte will not be able to rely more on Claudio Marchisio, who also has health problems.
