The president of the Spanish Football Federation Angel Villar is the first candidate who publicly announced that he would run for the head of UEFA. This was after Michel Platini handed his resignation.
The UEFA Executive Committee will meet on 18 May morning in Basel to discuss next steps, including planning for the next presidential elections.
Villar is already working on preparing its plan and presentation of his candidacy in the upcoming elections.
Elections for president of UEFA could take place in early June, just before the European Championship in France.
