Lewandowski and Müller closer to phenomenal record


Striker duo Bayern Munich Robert Lewandowski - Thomas Muller is closer to an impressive record. Pole and German can become the most successful offensive duo in the history of the Bundesliga.


That record is currently held by Grafite and Edin Dzeko, who in season 2008/2009 realized a total of 54 goals for the sensational title of Wolfsburg.

After 22 rounds this season Polish terminator Lewandowski has 22 goals, while German international has 17 goals, bringing the total sum of the two is 39 goals.

When success with 3: 1 over Darmstadt again they both were the foundation of success. Muller scored the first two goals in phenomenal performances and Lewandowski shape the outcome.

7 years ago Grafite scored 28 goals for the triumph of Wolfsburg and Dzeko added 26.

Then the tandem of "wolves" improved the previous best achievement, the work of Gerd Muller and Uli Hoeness, who in season 1971/72 and 1972/73 had scored 53 goals for Bayern.
