Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte has broken his leg and will be absent within the next four months, said the Basque club.
21-year-old Laporte was injured March 24 during a meeting between the youth teams of France and Scotland, and on Tuesday underwent surgery. This means that he will miss all the matches of his club team until the end of the season, and the opportunity to play for France at Euro 2016.
According to many experts Laporta is one of the most promising young defenders in Europe, according to media reports, he will be one of the main goals of the new Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
