Mathieu operate, out to the end of the season and missed Euro 2016


The worst predictions about Jérémy Mathieu is confirmed and he will have to undergo surgery, reported Spanish media.

The French defender has a torn meniscus on the right foot.


He received an injury in the success of the "roosters" over Russia with 4: 2 in friendly match. Mathieu appeared on the field in the second half but left the game just eight minutes after his appearance.

Mathieu will certainly miss the rest of the season, and dropped from the plans of national coach Didier Deschamps of France for the European Championship.

Jérémy Mathieu will be operated on Thursday by doctors Ramon Cugat and Ricard Pruna.
