Gianni Infantino week can only be president of FIFA, but is willing to radical changes in football. It will underpin the introduction of video technology during a match, reported "BBC".
According to the media, it will happen no later than the 2017/2018 season and will apply to all leagues. Formal innovation will be called "video assistant referee" and will only be used in contentious situations that concern canceled goals, red cards, penalties and confused players in giving cards.
The news was confirmed by the International Football Board, which is responsible for changes in the rules of football. From there they said the tests were passed in 12 national associations and a continental confederation, for which they give the green light. Initially, they will be held only as a test version, but the decisions they are valid.
"We can not close our eyes to the future and need to make innovations that are needed. It is important not to underestimate this and we must be open to change and test," said Gianni Infantino.
