Sergi Samper held a first meeting with Barcelona and has expressed his desire to remain part of the team. The player is represented by agent Pere Guardiola, who in coming weeks will have to specify the details of the new contract of Samper.
21-year-old is aware that it is difficult to fight for a place in the first team, but prefers to remain at "Camp Nou" than to continue his career in the Premiership.
If Samper continue his contract with Barcelona, it is possible next season to be assigned to the team from La Liga to gain more game experience.
Sergi Samper contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2017.
