Five professional footballers today were sentenced to prison in Vietnam to 6 years for match-fixing, reports
news agency AFP from Hanoi.
The five players on the team "Dong Nai" were arrested in 2014 for manipulating the result in the league match of Vietnam.
The captain of the club, the main culprit, was sentenced to six years in prison. The other four players were sentenced from 24 to 30 months prison conditionally day trial in Dong Nai southern province of Vietnam.
