The Portuguese champion Benfica is not much reason for optimism before his visit to Bayern Munich in the Champions League tonight.
"Bavarians" have four wins and two draws in European meetings with Benfica and the last three games in Munich between them ended with a goal difference of 13: 3 and three convincing success.
This season Bayern scare opponents - unbeaten in the Champions League as host and has 18 goals to his audience.
Benfica coach Rui Vitoria, however, is confident that his boys are eager to limit the negative interrupted series.
"Clearly, it would be very difficult to play against one of the most powerful teams in the world," said the coach. "But that has reached this stage of the tournament seems to be good enough and we are ambitious enough to believe that he can succeed. We respect and know your opponent and know it will not be easy."
Benfica is a leader in Portugal and has 19 wins in their last 20 games.
