Sevilla midfielder Michael Krohn-Dehli will be sidelined for at least seven months because of a knee injury.
The Danish international suffered a serious injury during the semi-final in the Europa League against Shakhtar Donetsk (2: 2). He received a fractured kneecap and detachment of the pole of the patella.
He was carried off the pitch after 73 minutes and less than 15 minutes after entering the game as a substitute.
Today Krohn-Dehli underwent surgery and began rehabilitation procedures.
32-year-old Dane came in Seville earlier this season from Celta Vigo.
