Doping scandal in the Premier League?


Premier League could be hit by a major scandal after the statements of English Dr. Mark Bonar. In the Sunday Times appeared confessions of medica that 150 British athletes, including some football players have used doping.


Names of players not named, but specifies that it is for representatives of Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester and Birmingham.

Arsenal immediately released a statement on the case in which they say: "Arsenal Football Club is extremely disappointed by these false allegations that have no foundation. Sunday Times knows that there is no ground for such allegations, but nevertheless publish such information. Our team has taken quite seriously this topic, but our players are familiar with the matter. We adhere strictly to all requirements of the Anti-Doping Agency ".

We recall that the Arsenal manager is one of the biggest opponents of prohibited drugs. In November last year (2015-a) specialist said that "Gunners" played against teams who used doping. Then the Frenchman explained that his players never taken such substances.

Chelsea commented: "These allegations are baseless. Moreover, we have never used the services of Dr. Bonar. Also, no data of our players to have treated him. We comply with all requirements in this area and our players are familiar in detail with the regulations and are regularly tested by the relevant authorities. "
