Former
President of Bayern (Munich) Uli Hoeneß will travel with the team for
the meeting rematch of the quarterfinals of the Champions League against
Benfica in Lisbon. The news confirmed
sporting director Matthias Sammer.

there shows the strength and unity that is Bayern," said Sammer. Hoeness

Last week, Bayern won as hosts with 1: 0. 64-year-old Hoeness was sentenced in Munich in March 2014 because of tax abuse, amounting to 28.5 million euros. He went to prison three months later. In late February this year Hoeness was released from prison after completing half of his sentence.
