Serie A leader Juventus will have to cope without the services of one of the leading players in the next major battle for the title in Italy. Giorgio Chiellini is out again from the accounts of coach Massimiliano Allegri.
He was returned to the pitch in the match against Empoli, but again went into the infirmary, this time because of injury in the thigh. His doctors prescribed a complete rest in the next 20 days at least, meaning that hardly will appear on the field until the end of the month.
The defender has passed extensive examinations this afternoon and they have found that it is a small tear of a muscle in his thigh. But after intensive therapy and rehabilitation is expected to three weeks to resolve everything.
This is another blow Chiellini and means that for the last two and a half months, he will have played only 90 minutes. His hopes, however, be ready for Euro 2016 as an integral part of the plans of the breeder Antonio Conte.
