Pep Guardiola, who will take over the managerial post at Manchester
City next season intends to make Mikel Arteta one of his aides, reported
British newspapers.
Close friend Guardiola played for Arsenal, and the contract
of 33-year-old midfielder expires in the summer.
At the beginning of his career Arteta played for the youth team of Barcelona, then for the Rangers, Real Sociedad, Everton and in 2011 moved to Arsenal.
Guardiola will take on Manchester City with her Lorenzo Buenaventura, who is a fitness trainer. Buenaventura is a very good friend of Arteta.
Domenech Torrent will be assistant coach Guardiola, Carles Planchart will be video analyst Manuel Estairte will be a personal assistant to Pep.
It is not excluded Mikel Arteta, however, received a proposal from Arsene Wenger to start his managerial career at Arsenal.
