"Saints" hold Arsenal

The team of Arsenal lost valuable points in the battle for first place in the Premier League.
Arsenal made zero draw in their household Southampton match of the 24th round of the Premier League. So the team of Arsene Wenger is 4 th place in the standings with 45 points, as there are third Tottenham, which has a better performance. Southampton 7th with 34 points.

The first half went at a good pace with the situations and the two doors. The hosts had the advantage, however, failed to score. After the break the dominance of the team Wenger was palpable, but best intercept Fraser Forster saved "saints." Arsenal had a host of chances to score, as Olivier Giroud even claim for a penalty.

First interesting situation in the game was in front of the home keeper. In the 11th minute Sadie Manet shoot, but Cech affect expertly. Followed minutes, in which Arsenal exerted some pressure and gradually get to 21 minutes when Arsene Wenger's men staged a pretty good effort, but failed to come forward. Hector Bellerin centered right, Olivier Giroud headed the ball and it knocked and came to Mesut Özil, but the former Real Madrid player failed to make a good kick in a great position and so Arsenal squandered a good opportunity.
With 32 minutes Bellerin  centered from the right, but Fraser Forster came out and capture, and in counter-attack Oriol Romeu shoots, but the ball went just over the crossbar.

At the end of the half in the box of Southampton occur awesome stirring Alexis Sanchez tried pass, but in the end the ball was cleared ahead of the defenders of "saints."

After the break Arsenal started confidently and in 48 minutes Giroud shot from around the penalty point, but Forster save. Minutes later, in the 53rd minute after a good combination between Özil and Alexis Sanchez on the right, the ball was made to Campbell, but he could not reach it and so the severity of the attack is lost.

In the 57th minute after a corner kick from the right Olivier Giroud tried a shot, but Forster demonstrated once again reflex.

The goalkeeper of "saints" was hesitant in the 64th minute after Sanchez turned the ball head toward the net. Forster initially caught, then dropped the ball, and later quickly corrected.

Forster was again in full glory in the 67th minute. Goalkeeper of the guests reflect two consecutive dangerous impact of Theo Walcott. Shortly thereafter hooked left of the goal of Southampton Giroud tried to play the ball, but then contiguity with an opposing player. Referee determines that the game was clean, despite the protests of Giroud, who showed his torn shirt.

By the end of the match Arsenal continued to attack, but did not find the right path to the door of Southampton.
