Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has said that modern football was impossible without Johan Cruyff.
Bartomeu first spoke before the memorial to the legendary Dutchman.
"Johan has revolutionized world football and Barcelona. Modern football was impossible without Cruyff. Understanding of the modern game was impossible without it, "said Bartomeu.
"It will forever remain a reference point for all catalans. Four days sad and great pain, "added the president of the Catalan club.
"This is a very sad day for Barcelona and football," said Josep Maria Bartomeu.
Each person who wants to pay tribute to Johan Cruyff will be able to do the memorial until Tuesday.
