Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has admitted that he and his saotbornikate are determined to defeat his former coach Jürgen Klopp and his Liverpool in a clash between two teams from the quarterfinals in the Europa League.
In April Klopp will make an emotional return to Dortmund, where he coached between 2008 and 2015 and won two championships of Germany and reached the Champions League final.
"The clash with Liverpool is one in which we have just determined to win Klopp. We have to win," said Hummels.
"Of course, he will receive a warm welcome and a warm send. But I hope in the meantime it messed up."
"There will be more media attention. And it will be something special for the players to meet again with Klopp. It will be very interesting and emotional level."
"I try not to think too much so. I said, after we drew with Liverpool that will start thinking about them when it comes time for the match," added Hummels.
