Newcastle also refused to sing 'swan' song

Once rivals Sunderland achieved vital for survival in the Premier League victory, so did Newcastle in the 34th round. People Rafael Benitez managed to break visiting Swansea City 3: 0 and so kept the chances in the battle at the bottom. It was a debut success for the Spaniard since he took over the team, and at the whim of fate it happened exactly on the day that the specialist turns 56 years.

The first half of "St James' Park" was not the most interesting, as the hosts had a slight advantage. In the 34th minute Lukasz Fabianski reflected not a bad shot of Jack Kolbak and six minutes later the score was opened. Andros Townsend fill the left corner in the attack and the defense of Swansea act mildly scandalous at the near post, where Jamaat Lasels was left of the goal area to shoot with a header and score - 1: 0.

After a pause "swans" went forward in search of an equalizer. Twenty minutes before the end of the game, their captain Ashley Williams had a great chance to do it, and shot almost right post.

In the 76th minute Jefferson Montero wasted perhaps the best chance for his team. He jammed great cross into the box, but the guard Carl Darlou only looked at the ball that came out.

Newcastle put an end to the dispute in the 87th minute, again took advantage of a corner kick. Entered as a substitute Aleksandar Mitrovic fired head, as the shot was blocked by a defender. Moussa Sissoko react quickly to the situation and close with a powerful shot struck the 2: 0.

Already in stoppage time came the third goal for the "Magpies". Mitrovic proved to be involved in it, this time assisted on Andros Townsend and former player of Tottenham scored for the second straight match.

With three points Newcastle now has 28 points in the penultimate 19th place, are two behind 18th Sunderland and 3 behind Norwich, who was the first team over the line. 16th Crystal Palace now has a comfortable advance with his 38 points.
