Pellegrini: Man City subs not driven by the CL 1/2-finals

A busy run of video games, not the Champions League conflict towards los Blancos, is the reasoning behind the Chilean's tactical choices

Manuel Pellegrini insists any changes he makes to Manchester City are unrelated to the Champions League semi-last in opposition to Real Madrid.

A Sergio Aguero hat-trick saw City to a three-0 win over Chelsea within the Premier League on Saturday as Pellegrini's males, maybe momentarily, moved into third.

City are nonetheless trying to seal a high-4 end and have a busy run of fixtures ahead of them late within
the season.

Nonetheless, Pellegrini said it could be all the way down to the person requirements of the games if he altered his aspect, not with a watch to Madrid ahead of the primary leg on April 26.

"If I shall be refreshing perhaps some positions within the subsequent game, [it's] not as a result of I'm thinking of Real Madrid," he advised reporters.

"It is because between now and the tip of May we have to play eight games in one month.

"It's important to make substitutions, but not excited about Real Madrid."

Pablo Zabaleta was taken off halfway through the second half at Stamford Bridge and was unhappy with Pellegrini's decision.

The Chilean, however, stated he acted in one of the best pursuits of his crew, including: "Of course he was upset, it is my obligation within the moment to do the proper thing.

"He was on a yellow card and one more foul and all of the fans of Chelsea can be every time [trying] to strain the referee to send him off.
