"The team put a variety of effort in, but maybe lacked something, maybe a insecurity to go for it. It is a dangerous consequence for us."

Bolasie's strike with 9 minutes remaining caught Petr Cech - who had nothing to do for many of the encounter - off guard, but Wenger refused accountable his goalkeeper.

"It doesn't look unstoppable, but he will know that better than I do," he said. "Perhaps he may have stopped it, maybe he was surprised, I don't know. It's tough accountable individuals."
