Sinisa Mihajlovic officially no longer the coach of Milan, the club announced.
In its place stands the coach of a youth formations, and former player "Milan" Cristian Brocchi.
So far Brockie was appointed until the end of the season. It is the fifth coach of Milan in the last three seasons.
Milan reached the final of the Coppa Italia led by Mihajlovic, but remains in sixth place in Serie A, 27 points behind leaders Juventus.
In the last 5 games Milan have won only two points and on Saturday Juve lost 1: 2.
47-year-old Mihajlovic leads Milan in June 2015.
"AC Milan would like to announce the release of Sinisa Mihajlovic from his post as head coach. We thank him for the work at the club that acted responsibly and motivated. Coaching is transmitted to Cristian Brocchi by the end of the season. AC Milan wishes him all the best position, "the official release of the club.
