Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that striker Didier Drogba the team has recently suffered from malaria, says prestigious daily newspaper The Guardian.
Shooter from Ivory Coast was not available to coach in recent weeks. He was felled by a virus and could only enter the holiday as a substitute in the match against Liverpool on Sunday.
Ancelotti admitted: "Didier had problems. Was touched virus and was very tired in training, lost condition. He was treated and now everything is fine, will return immediately to the ground.
"Apparently he suffered because it was not 100% ready, but now after treatment will be better. Drogba had malaria. Did his research and they showed it.
Do not know where it is touched. I gave him a few days rest and he went on vacation for several days and then came malaria. But now it's over, it's good, "explained Ancelotti.
