Fergie: Rooney's season starts now

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been included among the holders for the first time two months ago and manager Sir Alex Ferguson had told him: "Your season starts here," wrote the Daily Mirror.

Rooney will be among the starting 11 of the 'Ibrox' tonight when the Red Devils will face Scotland's Glasgow Rangers in the UEFA Champions League.

"This fight is a perfect opportunity for Wayne to show he can regain that beautiful form that we all know that it has. Let's hope that he will get it back. Absolutely I think his season starts here," said Sir Alex .

"Hopefully that will perform well against the Rangers. This is a good opportunity for him. This is a game of highest level of a great stadium and atmosphere will be fantastic," sure was a Scottish professional.

"These are all pluses for the player with the abilities of Wayne. The last few weeks have been pretty busy for him. It was not easy, very hard work," says Fergie.
