If the sale of Liverpool to take place, new owners of the club will provide manager Roy Hodgson money to spend in January, but Ziegler is the list of desired players.
Liverpool, however, face competition for the player signed by Italian giants Juventus, who want to attract a new left back because they have personnel problems of the post.
Paolo Di Seglie currently plays for Juventus in this position, but many critics refer to the presentation.
Future of Ziegler Sampdoria is in question because his contract expires at the end of the season and it is unclear whether they will choose to remain in the composition of Sampdoria.
