Spanish striker Fernando Torres of Liverpool is restored more than well and will almost certainly be ready for Sunday's derby with Everton.
The chief physician of the "red" Peter Bruckner said today that "El Nino", which received adductor muscle injury during the match with Blackpool ten days ago, will lead the attack on his team at Goodison Park.
"Fernando is doing very well. He had a slight tear in one of the adductor muscles, which prevented him from playing for Spain," said Bruknar.
"He was subjected to intensive treatment over the last ten days recovering on schedule. Fernando will resume training today and if all is well in the coming days, we are optimistic that he played against Everton. It is still early to say but are optimistic, "commented the Doctor.
"Torres respond well to treatment but will have to wait. On Thursday, Fernando will train at 100% and then worked hard on Friday and Saturday. If all go according to plan training, we believe that he will lead our attack Sunday, "added the doctor of the team.
