Rooney does not want to sign new contract

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has informed the leadership of the Red Devils had no intention to sign a new contract with the club, reports The Independent.

The English striker has another 20 months of its current contract with United, but has given to understand that they will not sign a new contract.

The Independent claims that one of the main reasons for this are deteriorating relations between Rooney and Sir Alex Ferguson.

Manager of the team left striker on the bench in Saturday's hosting West Brom, and previously received misunderstanding between the two when Rooney denied that there was an ankle injury, as was earlier reported Ferguson.

All that remains in the field of speculation yesterday after the English club identified the information that Rooney will leave the team as "nonsense", while the striker has repeatedly expressed his desire to play at Old Trafford until the end of his career.
